Making soup

For the past couple of weeks, we have been learning about instruction writing as part of our non-fiction topic. We have been taking part in different activities all whilst following instructions and learning their key features. We prepared a carrot for cooking, washed our hands very thoroughly, learnt the steps in brushing your teeth and finally we made soup! The children then did a piece of independent writing, showcasing their learning and they all did a brilliant job.

On Friday the children also took part in an anti-bullying picket on the playground. We had designed our own posters during the week and we’re proud to hold them high to show the other children and teachers during the march. We chanted ‘no more bullying’, ‘be kind’, ‘say no to bullying’. The children were very proud of their artwork and understood what we were marching for. Enjoy a slideshow of photos from the picket.
